Dear Friends and Compatriots,
This is an open invitation to Russian American individuals and organizations to participate in the third “Children’s Festival of Russian Culture” to take place Saturday June 6, 2009 12PM to 5PM at Fort Tryon Park in North Manhattan, NY.
We you will join us in celebrating and sharing the wonderful music and traditions we have preserved for our children and want to share with other Americans as well. Children’s Russian Folk Ensemble groups from Washington DC, New Jersey, New York and even Russia performed last year and are expected here again.
Please take this opportunity to propose your local “Children’s Russian Folk Ensemble” to perform at this event and help demonstrate how our children appreciate and maintain the rich cultural heritage of our parents.
Groups that wish to perform are asked to send us a DVD or video. Unfortunately; we cannot accept all groups who apply, there will just not be enough stage time, even though each group must finish within 20 minutes, including “Encores.” So, we will take into consideration: those who were earliest to apply; the quality of the materials provided, recommendations of organizations where they have performed, and other special considerations.
We cannot afford to properly compensate so many groups but, we do want to recognize their talent and efforts as follows:
- All groups chosen to perform will receive a RACH-C Certificate confirming that they were selected to perform at this event.
- Children’s Folk Ensemble groups will receive complimentary lunch and soft drinks.
- Photos and brief Bio’s of scheduled groups will be published in the official “Festival Program” and press releases. (these must be made available early for this purpose.)

We understand there is no assurance that we will be selected to perform at the RACH-C Children’s Festival but, if selected, we agree to perform. We understand that there is no guaranteed compensation. We understand that materials we submit (tapes, DVDs, photos, articles, brochures etc.) are for the purpose of review by RACH-C in the process of selecting groups to perform. We give permission for RACH-C to use those materials for publication and publicity purposes and we accept that these materials will not be returned.
