History Month 2020

Governor of the State of New York, Andrew M. Cuomo proclaimed April 2019 as RUSSIAN AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH and “congratulated the Russian American community on celebrating their cultural pride and place in American society with special events to commemorate the history of the Russian-American community, as we extend appreciation for the valuable contributions this group has made and continues to make to our great state and nation;”

Each year a delegation of Russian Americans visits the NYS Senate and Assembly and witnesses passing a Resolution endorsing April as Russian American History Month in New York.

Set in a Russian country estate, this comedy portrays the struggles of Konstantin Gavrilovich Treplev to achieve his artistic ambitions and win the admiration of his muse Nina.
