As part of the celebration of Russian-American History Month in New York in 2016, the Russian-American Cultural Center “Heritage” (RAKSI) held an international competition for the best children’s drawing dedicated to the 55th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s flight into space.<\/p>\n
The competition was attended by 111 children aged 6 to 15.<\/p>\n
The participants in the competition were works from the following cities in the USA: New York, Stanford, Brooklyn, Carlsbad, Detroit and from the following cities in Russia: Moscow, Samara, Zheleznodorozhny, Pervouralsk, Zhukovsky, Biysk.<\/p>\n
The jury of the competition consisting of Yulia Artemenko, Olga Zatsepina, Marina Ivannikova, Artem Mirolevich, Olga Nenazhivina summed up the results and selected the winners in three age groups.<\/p>\n
The winners are:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n 1 Age group from 6 to 9 years old:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1 place \u2013 Gabriella Spektor (9 years old) \u2013 Portrait of Gagarin \u2013 School 41, New York<\/p>\n 2 place \u2013 Diana Gomez (8 years old) \u2013 Eye of the Cosmos \u2013 Sanderling Waldorf School, Carlsbad, California<\/p>\n 3 place \u2013 Sofia Kamrakulova (7 years old) \u2013 Miss Universe \u2013 Children’s Art Center “Moskvorechye”, Moscow<\/p>\n 2 Age group from 10 to 13 years old:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1 place \u2013 Konstantin Dubovsky (10 years old) \u2013 Expanses of the Universe \u2013 School 41, New York<\/p>\n 2 place \u2013 Artem Belov (10 years old) \u2013 They were the First \u2013 Children’s Art Center “Moskvorechye”, Moscow<\/p>\n 3 place \u2013 Masha Tarakhovskaya (13 years old) \u2013 Dense Space \u2013 Russian Cultural Center of Michigan, Detroit<\/p>\n 3 Age group from 14 to 15 years old:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1 place \u2013 Elena Ivanova (15 years old) \u2013 Mother of the first cosmonaut A.T.
