Most of us get to know Pushkin\u2019s tales in the early childhood, listening to them being read, watching Pushkin tale based animated films, and then, as we are growing up we look at them from different prospective, where we explore culture, traditions, customs and history of Russian people. They teach us wisdom and justice, expose the human vices and weaknesses; tell us about our ancestors\u2019 life.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish\u201d is no exception; it is the treasury of a vast period of traditional Russian culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

The creators of this performance discovered an unexpected philosophical angle in this seemingly simple tale and they rush to share it with the audience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Inna Yesilevskaya \u2013 Graduated from The Kazan Theater School and has performed at the Ivanovo Regional Theater and Saratov Academic Theater in Russia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her stage credits in New York include seven seasons with Steps Theater performing in \u00abLast Summer in Chulimsk\u00bb (A. Vampilov) \u2013 Zina, \u00abPanohka\u00bb (N. Sandur) \u2013 Khvesk\u0430, \u00abEnemies \u2013 the story of love\u00bb (Zinger) \u2013 Tamara.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She is also an actor with the Literary Theater Dialogue where her roles include\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00abDark Alleys\u00bb \u2013 Irina, \u00abThe candle was burning\u00bb\u00bb \u2013 a muse, \u00abIn the mirrors\u00bb \u2013\u00a0 Anna Akhmatova.<\/span><\/p>\n

She has performed in various productions of the Haverim Theater<\/span>. Her Metropolitan Opera appearances include \u201cNose\u201d,\u201d Boris Godunov\u201d, \u201cLULU\u201d, \u201cAnna Bolena\u201d and \u201cRoberto Devereux\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Inna is a lead actor of the Rustem Galitch Theater of Poetry and Music in New York City, USA. The production of \u201cThe Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish\u201d is her independent directing and acting project.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Valentina Kvasova\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Folk artist (singer and dancer), actor, composer.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Valentina was born in Rostov-on-Don, the capital of the Don Cossack region of\u00a0Russia, in a family of musicians. After completing her education at\u00a0choreographic and music schools, she performed as a soloist with the world-famous Don Cossacks Song and Dance Ensemble for 5 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Having relocated to the U.S. in the year 2000, Valentina has performed with prominent folk groups, such as\u00a0the iconic \u201cRiverdance\u201d, the Russian folk ensemble\u00a0\u201cBarynya\u201d, the Bulgarian trio \u201cYasna Voices\u201d, with the late star of Russian-Gypsy music\u00a0Zhenya Shevchenko, and many others.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rare sound of Valentina\u2019s deep, rich contralto adds\u00a0unique folkloric character to any serious world-music project or event. Her diverse repertoire includes\u00a0Cossack,\u00a0Bulgarian and Russian-Gypsy\u00a0songs, arranged and performed with respect to\u00a0tradition.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nastia Blyakher<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Producer, Video Artist.<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Nastia is an educator, a television theater professional with 15 years of experience in education and entertainment industry, both in Russia and the United States. She produced and directed award winning plays for Youth Theater in English (Novosibirsk), worked as a director of Childrens\u2019 Language Camp (UNICAMP) and served as a counselor for Youth Politics and Social Activism. She graduated from Moscow State University with Master\u2019s degree in Education and English linguistics in 2005. In 2010 she received her Masters in Radio and Television production at Brooklyn College (CUNY).<\/span><\/p>\n

Since then she worked as a producer and director for multiple production companies and produced television content for multiple platforms, produced and directed events and mixed media performances.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among that she hosted, produced and directed a TV documentary series \u201cTest Drive In New York\u201d for Stream TV, co-created and produced a documentary TV Series \u201cRussian Accent\u201d at RTVi.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2016 she co-produced and co-directed an award winning production \u201cVasisliy + Federico\u201d for STEPS Theater in New York, USA. Same year she co-produced a play \u201cChekhov.PS\u201d, based on plays of Anton Chekhov, adapted and directed by Adolf Shapiro, in New York, USA.<\/span><\/p>\n

She currently serves as an executive producer on development and production of several television projects and works as an independent video artist.<\/span><\/p>\n
