С каждым годом все больше людей в разных странах мира участвуют в акции «Георгиевская ленточка». Под звуки гармошки и пение военных песен молодежь будет раздавать ленточки и рассказывать жителям города о геройских страницах российской военной истории. Акция «Георгиевская ленточка» носит просветительский характер. Участники расскажут жителям США о том, какую цену заплатил Советский Союз за победу над фашизмом, будут раздавать информационные брошюры и Георгиевские ленточки.

2 мая по инициативе общества “Русская Молодёжь Америки” будет проходить раздача георгиевских ленточек на Time Square (у красных ступеней) в 12:00. После чего активисты поедут в Бруклин на Brighton Beach, где продолжится раздача ленточек. Завершится акция в 17:00 концертом военной песни на открытой площадки на пересечении Boardwalk и 4th Brighton.

At the Metropolitan Opera, Roberto De Biasio has starred in Ernani, Madama Butterfly and Simon Boccanegra. Appearing at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, Opernhaus Zurich, Wiener Staatsoper, Opéra Bastille of Paris, Gran Teatre del Liceu of Barcelona, Arena di Verona, Teatro La Fenice, Santa Fe Opera, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Sejong Theater in Seoul, he has collaborated with James Levine, Riccardo Muti, Anthony Minghella and Franco Zeffirelli. A native of Italy, Roberto offers this concert in honor of Mother Cabrini.

Concert Pianist Maxim Anikushin is known for his generous support of music at Cabrini Shrine. With a masters from Juilliard and a doctorate from Manhattan School of Music, Maxim has performed at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Steinway Hall and Lincoln Center; overseas at Moscow Conservatory and Philharmonic Hall in St. Petersburg; at Palau de la Música de València and many others. In addition to weekly masses at St. Elizabeth Church in Washington Heights, he maintains a busy performance schedule.

In this production, Anthony Dowell aimed to return to an authentic version of the choreography created by the great Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov for the Mariinsky Theatre in 1895. Yolanda Sonnabend’s designs draw on the Russian Imperial Court of that period with an inspired blend of historical accuracy and Gothic fantasy. Starring Natalia Osipova as Odette/Odile, and Matthew Golding as Prince Siegfried. Conducted by Boris Gruzin. Presented in collaboration with the Royal Opera House.
